Disneyland socal select pass question please help!?
Hi there I just recently purchased two socal select annual passes from disneyland online. I have already received them in the mail and I am planning on using them in a couple of weeks. Anyways I have been hearing that the first day you go to disneyland before the take your picture for the id card you can go on a blackout day which was what i was planning on doing. I hope this makes sense to everyone. ….i heard that the blackout day does not apply before you get the annual pass processed I know after it is processed you have to follow the blackout days but it would be nice to go on one saturday. Please help if you can I just do not want to go all the way down there and be really dissapointed. Also could you please tell me if they give out guest passes or discounts with the pass thanks so much for your help.
As someone who worked in the Annual Passport Processing Center and Guest Services circa 01-03, the first day you use your never-been-used annual passport is NOT consider a blockout date. What you have is a certificate pass to be exchanged at the Annual Pass Center in the Bank of Main St. for your real passport.
Sorry, they don’t give out free guest passes. But during the year, they will offer Bring a Friend discount off the regular admission ticket. While you’re at the Annual Pass Center, a cast member will give you a list of all your discounts for the Disneyland Resort including DTD and a blockout date calendar.
If you are still unsure (which I won’t be offended because I, too, like to hear it from the horse’s mouth), call the Disneyland Resort Ticketing and Reservation Hotline at (714) 781-4400. (I also worked there, too)

The Ticketing Hotline is open from 8:00am to 5:00pm everyday.
